I have always been a fan of space games in general. Some of the first games I played were TradeWars, Elite, Wing Commander I and Privateer, and from that point on I was hooked and have been enjoying all the games in this great genre for over 20yrs now.
Space Sim Central was created for the simple reason that I wanted to be able to find all space sim gaming scene news in one place instead of having to have 20-30 different bookmarked sites. SSC will cover all the various game types like: space combat sims, space arcade games, space rpg, space mmo's, space adventure, 4x space combat, space sims and more.
SpaceSimCentral provides a community area where people can discuss space sims and other various topics. There is a download area where you can download or upload the latest space gaming mods, patches, editing tools, demos and full games. The links area is a running list of various community, gaming and mod sites dedicated to the space sim genre. And now new to SSC is a SSCwiki this is an on going effort to hopefully document all of the space games created for the PC.

Also the fact that is visited by a number of game dev's makes it a lil' better than other sites of this genre. |
