Don't forget, this version is only making a single sur, not a multi-part one.

I would liek to comment that without htis tool the making of Eve-lancer would be going at a crawl. I have so far exported each Caldari sup from the fighter and bomber fighter all the way up to the levaithan Titan and used it on each and it has not let me down EXCEPT with the Moa cruiser, For some reasion it was throwing a fit with it. But i beat it into submission and it final produced a working sur.
Though I needed to put the Duplicate radius to 10, for the larger ships, the capitals of eve-online for it to not take 20 minutes to compute. I've also Reduced the size of EACH ship although the Titan, super-carrier, and carrier might be too big to dock, i know the titan for sure is too big and most likly be a log off in space type ship. |

Hello,
I would only like to bug you with one question concerning this tool. At the moment it can be used to generate a perfect "shrink wrap" style sur, but technically, it is only one very nice convex bubble covering the ship.
So far, it has worked on every single ship I tested, including a huge capital ship model, for which I have utterly failed to produce a working sur file of any kind with any other available method. But this tool worked. Congratulations.
Is there a possibility, however, of any kind for me to create a multi-part sur using this tool? Forget Delaney triangulation and everything, it is an extremely nice and ambitious project of you to go into this complex field, but for me it is not necessary to rebuild CMP and SUR alike; all I want is to get a multi-part SUR file working using this tool (because this is the only one that has produced perfect and not half-baked results for me so far). I am willing to save each component as separate CMPs and run the tool on them to get separate SUR parts, only there is no way for me to paste them all back together into one file again.
In short, is there any way to produce a multi-component SUR file (like, 3 convex balls for parts: Root, PortWing, StarboardWing) using the LS Sur tool to generate the sur body? Willing to do anything, even ugly hex editing. |

Hello, I'm a newbie modder working on my first ship.
I would just like to say, Thank you for your awesomeness. Even a newbie like me (after reading the readme file) figured out how to run it. Very simple to use.
Now the only thing I need to figure out is why HardCMP loads the ship upside down :/ But that's a whole nother story.
Thanks again |
